Nourish Northwest Offering Group Weight Loss Program

Many people set lofty weight loss goals for the New Year. When these goals are not met, feelings of failure and despair ensue. Unhealthy eating is used as a means to soothe, which sets the dieter back both physically and mentally.
Sound familiar? This vicious cycle is the cause of so many failed attempts. Weight loss is extremely difficult because it is a multi-faceted issue. Food, exercise, relationships, stress, social habits, spirituality and knowledge are just a few of the factors that play a roll. Weight loss needs to be approached from a holistic perspective.
This January, Nourish Northwest is offering a 12-week group weight loss program that aims to break the dieting cycle and promote a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. The group will meet every other week with two experienced Registered Dietitians to learn about such topics as healthy cooking techniques, eating for a busy lifestyle, goal setting and mindful eating. The program also includes a three-month fitness membership, where participants can choose from small group classes, such as TRX, yoga, Pilates and boot camp. The small group setting provides the support, motivation and accountability that are keys to success.
