Portland Saturday Market Serving Up Gluten-Free and Paleo Food

Posted on 13 November 2012 by Jason

When planning on spending the day at Portland Saturday Market, it’s impossible to not think about food. With over 21 international food booths at the Market, everyone is bound to find something they like. But what if you are gluten-free or on the Paleo health regime? Well the Market has that covered. Gluten-free options are available from some of the vendors—you just have to ask.
Try Old Town Burger. Their beef has no additives and they have no problem leaving the bun off. Their menu includes a basic burger, cheese burger, bacon burger and a Swiss cheese and mushroom burger for consumption. And try their homemade sauce which is gluten free.
Dona Lola’s serves up some of the best street tacos with choices of chicken or beef, or create a plate of taco filling without the taco shells, for a Paleo friendly option. They have the option of tacos by themselves or a plate, which includes two tacos, rice and beans and a wedge of lime to squeeze on the tacos, which only improves them.
A few of the other options include: African cuisine, elephant ears, homemade hand dipped ice cream, gyros, German sausages, b-b-q, and of course, two coffee carts. Portland Saturday Market tries to have options for everyone so check them out and let them know what you think.

Portland Saturday Market is open every Saturday and Sunday through December 24.
